Med adverb som slutar på -ly, måste man använda more för att bilda komparativ, och most för att bilda superlativ.

När det gäller korta adverb som inte slutar på -ly, är de komparativa och superlativa formerna identiska med adjektiven: lägg till -er för att forma komparativ och -est för att forma superlativ. Om adverbet slutar på e, ska detta tas bort innan man lägger till ändelsen.
